Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday attended several blood donation camps and underlined the appeal of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to call for organ donation.
PM Modi on his monthly episode of Mann Ki Baat programme on Sunday appealed to people to opt for organ donation.
Chief Minister Dr. Saha also emphasised on voluntary blood donation and said that donating blood is a noble deed. He called upon all the clubs, NGOs, social welfare organisations and different other organisations to further come forward in organising such camps not only in Agartala, but in other areas of the state.
The Chief Minister said, the state government has taken initiatives to develop the overall health care services in the state. Initiative has been taken to further develop all health sub-centres under Health and Wellness Centre.
The Chief Minister however interacted with the donors in the camps and highlighted the importance of donating blood.
