Govt. trying to turn blood donation into mass movement: Minister Sushanta Chowdhury

The state sports and youth affairs minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Friday said that in order to meet the rising demand of blood, the Tripura government is putting an utmost effort to turn the blood donations as mass-movement.  

Chowdhury said this while inaugurating a blood donation camp organized at the College of Arts and Crafts at Agartala Lichubagan today.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister of Information and Culture further called upon to practice humanism through blood donation. He said, “We have to work for the country and society by acknowledging our responsibility towards the society. Everyone has to fight against drugs shoulder to shoulder.”

He called upon the administration as well as the general public, clubs and NGOs to come forward in this regard. He said a meeting has already been held with the club forum over enhancing the fight against drug menace.

NC Sharma, Director, Department of Higher Education, Tripura State NSS Officer and Associate Professor, college principal among others were present in the occasion.
