Security personnel seized drugs and ganja (cannabis) worth Rs 2.38 crore and arrested three drug peddlers during the past 24 hours in three northeastern states -- Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram, officials said on Monday. 

The First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Rahul Gandhi at the Pan Bazar Police Station in Guwahati. This FIR is under sections 152 and 197(1)d of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which pertain to actions that endanger the sovereignty, unity, and integrity of India.

The security personnel in separate incidents destroyed drugs valued at Rs 156.84 crores in Assam and 90,000 ganja (cannabis) plants, valued at Rs 3.5 crore in Tripura on Thursday, officials said.

The Special Task Force (STF) of Assam Police on Tuesday seized over 1.128 kg of heroin worth Rs nine crore and arrested two drug peddlers from Manipur, officials said.
