Two hotels and a temple in Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati received fresh bomb threats in the name of terrorist groups on Sunday but all of them turned out to be a hoax, police said.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday evening began his journey to Tirumala temple on foot. After performing puja at Alipiri Padala Mandapam, he began his journey to the famous hill shrine.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Monday demanded a probe by the sitting judge of the High Court into the allegations of animal fat used in Tirupati temple laddus and also called for autonomy for Hindu temples.

The Income Tax department has seized about 300 kg of unaccounted gold from four jewelry shops in Proddatur town in Andhra Pradesh's Kadapa district. The I-T Department officials from Vijayawada and Tirupati seized the gold during the searches for the last four days.

Charred body of Nagaraju (36) was found in the burnt car near Ganguudu Palle village on Naidupeta-Puthalapattu road. After being alerted by the locals on Sunday morning, police rushed to spot and identified the victim on the basis of the car's registration number.
