The Director General of Police in Tripura, Amitabh Ranjan, on Monday asserted that the Tripura Police is working without any interference or doubts to maintain the law and order situation in the state.

Tripura has catapulted the state into the digital era, delivering transformative change across governance, infrastructure, and citizen services, said minister Pranajit Singha Roy on Monday.

In his letter to the commissions and DGP, the MLA cited instances of police harassment, torture, assault persisting inside police stations of Tripura and stated, “Even, proper medical attention is not being awarded to the arrested persons ignoring the specific guidelines of the Supreme Court of India.”
