Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Friday flagged off Cycle Rally and Peace Walk on "World Tourism Day" here at Agartala Ujjayanta Palace and said that the tourism industry in the state can play a key role in enhancing the economy of the state.

Ahead of the festive season, the cabinet of the BJP-led coalition government in Tripura has given a nod for recruitment in 1267 various posts and also for creation of 193 new posts in various departments.

"Beautification will be carried out with all necessary arrangements. No sound systems will be allowed. All preparations are in place. We are here today to inspect the site, as the Chief Minister, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, will inaugurate it on October 8," he added.
