As the state prepares for the counting of polls for 2 parliamentary constituencies and 7-Ramnagar Assembly Constituency by-election on June 4 next, the state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Puneet Agarwal on Saturday chaired a meeting with the representatives of political parties of the state to ensure peaceful poll counting.
Tripura along with the rest of the nation will go for counting of Lok Sabha polls on June 4. The counting will be held for 2 parliamentary constituencies amid three-tier security system in each of the 60 counting halls and 7-Ramnagar Assembly Constituency by-election.
During the visit, he reviewed the preparation of counting centers and law and order issues. Besides, the Chief Electoral Officer visited the media center and the room designated for counting observers.
