J&K Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha said on Sunday that terrorism is on its last leg and this has made the exporter of terrorism, our neighbouring country, desperate.

J&K Police on Wednesday said "a major breakthrough" has been made in the June 9 Reasi terror attack, in which 9 pilgrims were killed and 44 others injured, with the arrest of a terror associate.

On Wednesday around 1.45 a.m. terrorists fired at a joint ‘Naka’ (Checkpost) of the 4 Rashtriya Rifles and police at Chattergalla in the Bhaderwah area of Doda district.

Survivors of the June 9 terrorist attack on pilgrims in J&K's Reasi district have said that the attackers kept on firing at the fallen bus for almost 20 minutes.

J&K Lt Governor (L-G) Manoj Sinha on Monday said that the terrorists responsible for the Reasi attack will pay a heavy price however government’s priority right now is to look after the well-being of the injured.

“An ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to be given to the next of kin of pilgrims martyred in Reasi terror attack. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000. The injured pilgrims are being treated at different hospitals in Jammu & Reasi,” L-G Manoj Sinha wrote on X.

At least 10 people were killed on Sunday in an alleged terror attack on a bus in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district, sources said. According to sources, gunmen fired at the bus carrying pilgrims back from Shiv Khori temple to Katra town in Reasi district.

“During the search operation, a Pakistani intruder identified as Zahir Khan of Karachi was arrested in Milan de Khui village near the LoC in Pallanwalla area of Khour tehsil of Jammu district," said officials here.

Days after an attack on an IAF convoy in J&K's Poonch district left one dead and a major security sweep was initiated, firing exchanges were taking place between security forces and terrorists in the district on Friday, officials said.

In the attack on the two-vehicle IAF convoy at Surankote tehsil in Poonch district, one air warrior named Corporal Vikky Pahade was killed, while four other IAF personnel were injured.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Minister Lal Singh has been arrested in a case of money laundering by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) after his anticipatory bail application was dismissed by an Anti-Corruption Court, an ED official said.

Commenting on the Kokernag encounter, the police chief said, “I know it is the handiwork of some vested interests to blow the Kokernag encounter out of proportion. It is always advantageous for those who open first fire during encounters. 

A crime branch statement said that the economic offences wing of the crime branch in Jammu carried out searches at five places in R.S. Pura, Greater Kailash and Bidhnah areas of Jammu district.

J&K DGP Dilbag Singh on Wednesday said that the properties of those local terrorists who are natives of the UT and have fled to Pakistan to take refuge would be seized.
