Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday interacted with the guardians of the student who are standard in the violence hit Manipur and said that his counterpart N Biren Singh had assured of safety and security of the students of Tripura in Manipur.

Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha on Friday said that the newly constructed MLA hostel will play an important role in speeding up various developmental works and also will work in establishing good relations between the elected representatives.

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Friday has appealed the people of the state to follow the path of non-violence shown by Lord Gautam Buddha to make the state "Ek Tripura Shrestha Tripura".

The recent unrest in Manipur has come to the notice of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha. In this context, the Chief Minister has inquired about the students of the state studying in RIMS and other colleges of Manipur.

According to police, they have arrested four persons along with brown sugar worth Rs 1.50 lakh. The arrested four youths were identified as Naresh Debbarma, Rohit Debbarma, Rahul Debbarma and Biku Debbarma.

The chief minister was speaking in a state-level orientation programme of Ayush CHOs on Homeopathic Health Care for mothers and children at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan here in Agartala.

The four Border Haats, two each in Tripura and Meghalaya, have remained closed since March 2020 after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and the consequent lockdowns, causing immense loss to the people living in the bordering villages.

Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare minister Ratan Lal Nath on Sunday said that the state has set a new record in voluntary blood donation as the total units donated in the current financial year has exceeded the 42,000 mark.
