With barely a month left for the crucial assembly election in Tripura, the BJP-led coalition government on Wednesday formed a three-member committee headed by a retired high court judge to look into the issues of 10,323 retrenched teachers.

The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal today said that Tripura is to be connected with Sittwe Port in Myanmar through India Bangladesh Protocol (IBP) Route.

In the meeting, Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that this fair will be organized more beautifully and successfully than the previous days with everyone's opinion.

The Madrassa teachers who gathered in front of the Directorate of Education demanded provision of salary at par with the salary of regular teachers of the state government including all other facilities provided to the regular employees.
