With the Bengali’s grand festival Durga Puja is drawing near, the police of West Tripura district has ramped up the security measures to ensure peaceful puja this year and also issued a stern warning against forceful puja subscription practices.

In a significant breakthrough, the East Agartala police station has apprehended six suspects in connection with a series of thefts that occurred in several shops along Central Road. The arrests were made following an extensive investigation into the theft incidents that have alarmed local business owners.

Dr. Saha said this while addressing a gathering after watching the 114th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat at Booth No. 20 of 6 Agartala Mandal. Speaking at the event, Dr. Saha said that a time will come when there will be no alternative to the BJP.

Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu arrived in Aizawl on Sunday to take additional charge as the Governor of Mizoram on Monday, officials said.

The BJP government in Tripura would reopen the cases of killings and murders that happened during the previous regimes of Left and Congress, said Chief Minister Manik Saha.
