There has been a 27 per cent increase in the number of farmers enrolled under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) so far during the current financial year (2023-24) taking the total number of farmers covered under the crop insurance scheme to 56.8 crore, the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare said on Wednesday.
