Security personnel seized drugs and ganja (cannabis) worth Rs 2.38 crore and arrested three drug peddlers during the past 24 hours in three northeastern states -- Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram, officials said on Monday. 

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Sunday said that the tribal communities must face the prevailing challenges with maturity, understanding, and mutual respect.

In a meticulous operation, Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police have jointly seized 30 gelatin sticks and 20 detonators near the important Aijal Club at Khatla Road in Aizawl, officials said here on Sunday.

The First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Rahul Gandhi at the Pan Bazar Police Station in Guwahati. This FIR is under sections 152 and 197(1)d of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which pertain to actions that endanger the sovereignty, unity, and integrity of India.

The Special Task Force (STF) of Assam Police on Tuesday seized over 1.128 kg of heroin worth Rs nine crore and arrested two drug peddlers from Manipur, officials said.
