The recent unrest in Manipur has come to the notice of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha. In this context, the Chief Minister has inquired about the students of the state studying in RIMS and other colleges of Manipur.

According to police, they have arrested four persons along with brown sugar worth Rs 1.50 lakh. The arrested four youths were identified as Naresh Debbarma, Rohit Debbarma, Rahul Debbarma and Biku Debbarma.

The chief minister was speaking in a state-level orientation programme of Ayush CHOs on Homeopathic Health Care for mothers and children at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan here in Agartala.

The four Border Haats, two each in Tripura and Meghalaya, have remained closed since March 2020 after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and the consequent lockdowns, causing immense loss to the people living in the bordering villages.

Announcing zero tolerance against drugs and anti-social activities, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday asked the people of the state to launch a movement against drug dealers and miscreants who create nuisance in society by identifying them.
