In yet another major development, one unlisted banned NLFT militant of Biswa Mohan factor surrendered before the BSF jawans at Gandacherra in Dhalai district.
According to the BSF press communique, the NLFT militant Chhanaklu Debbarma, resident of Sepahijala district, surrendered on Saturday morning and decided to involve himself in the mainstream of the nation. The surrendered insurgent Chhanaklu Debbarma joined NLFT (BM) outfit in the month of October 2022.
Tripura has been insurgency prone for the last few decades. Due to the endeavour of central agencies and state authorities, in the recent past several cadres of NLFT(BM) opted to return to the mainstream of society. Such initiative will certainly motivate the misguided youths to leave the path of violence, the press communique stated.
