The state power minister Ratan Lal Nath on Saturday attended the 25th North Eastern Regional Power Committee meeting in Kolkata and stressed on the significant upcoming power projects in the state of Tripura.
The NERPC Chairman and Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Chowna Mein chaired the meeting, organized and hosted by NTPC Ltd and NERPC Secretariat. The meeting addressed critical issues in the power sector, focusing on the challenges and opportunities for progress in the region.
Attending the meeting the Tripura power minister Ratan Lal Nath emphasised on the upcoming power projects of the state including installation of 400 KV substation in Suryamaninagar, connection of mobile tower in power transmission management, installation of one more SLDC in Kanchanbari of Kumarghat.
During the session, Nath highlighted the significance of collective efforts toward a more promising and sustainable future in the power sector of Tripura.
The meeting was also attended by Ministers of Power from North Eastern States Nandita Gorlosa of Assam, Abu Taher Mondal of Meghalaya, K.G. Kenye of Nagaland, Advisor to Power(Arunachal), Balo Raja, Member Secretary (NERPC), Kishore B Jagtap, Director (Finance) NTPC Ltd, Jaikumar Srinivasan, Officers of the Central & State Governments and Representatives from Central & State Power Utilities, among others.
