The 3rd Biennial Joint State Conference of Tripura Gramin Bank Employees Association and Tripura Gramin Bank Officers Union kicked off on a vibrant note at Dasharath Dev Smriti Bhavan at Supari Bagan on Saturday.
The two-day conference commenced with a public session, marked by the hoisting of association flags, wreath-laying at the martyr's altar, and a condolence proposal reading.
S. Venkateswara Reddy, Secretary General of All India Regional Gramin Bank Employees' Association, officially inaugurated the conference by lighting the lamp. The Honorable Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank, Mr. Satyendra Singh, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
During the public session, Reddy addressed the audience, presenting an overview of the current state of Gramin Banks across India. He passionately advocated for the regularization of daily attendance workers, urging the authorities to address this pressing issue.
Tripura Gramin Bank Chairman, Mr. Satyendra Singh, adorned the Chief Guest's seat and emphasized the need to increase the bank's profitability while enhancing customer service. He expressed sincere dedication to the improvement of daily attendance workers, highlighting his commitment to their welfare.
Biprajit Purkayastha, Chairman of the reception committee, General Manager Santosh Kumar Raut, Presidents Siddharth Shankar Debroy and Krishanu Das, Bijan Dhar, and Rabindra Prasad Sarkar, shared the stage, adding prestige to the event.
Debashish Bhattacharya, General Secretary of Tripura Unit of National Confederation of Bank Employees, addressed the audience, and Santosh Kumar Raut, General Manager of the bank, lauded the realistic demands of both organizations. Raut acknowledged the challenges of meeting all demands but sought cooperation from both associations to propel the bank's progress.
The representative meeting of Tripura Gramin Bank Employees Association followed the public session, with Shiv Karan Dwivedi, General Secretary of National Federation of R, R, B Employees, serving as the chief speaker. Dwivedi criticized the role of the central government and advocated for pan-India transformation of regional rural banks, with a strong emphasis on the regularization of daily attendance.
