The 3rd National Lok Adalat of the year 2023 was held here in Tripura along with the rest of the nation on Saturday.
A total of 15339 cases including pre-litigated disputes were taken up in the Lok Adalat held across the state, said Member Secretary of the Tripura State Legal Service Authority Sabyasachi Dutta Purakayastha on Saturday.
Briefing the media, Purakayastha said that a total of 630 cases were taken up for disposal in the 6 stations including some in Agartala, where benches were constituted under the sub divisional Legal Service Authority and an amount of Rs. 1,29,72,916 in connection with different cases has been settled.
The matters related to pre-litigation disputes including bank loan recovery and BSNL bill recovery and pending cases including MACT, NI, matrimonial disputes, and others were taken up for disposal in the 3rd National Lok Adalat on Saturday, he said.
