8 Bangladeshi nationals held in Agartala Railway Station

AGARTALA:

The Railway Police detained eight individuals suspected to be Bangladeshi nationals from Agartala railway station while leaving for Delhi today. It has been revealed that they entered the state illegally from Bangladesh with the intention of finding work in Delhi.

The railway police apprehended them as they were boarding the Tripura Sundari Express, which was bound for Delhi. The detainees were taken into custody right before the train's departure. Out of the eight arrested individuals, five are men and three are women.

Upon initial questioning, they claimed to have entered the state through the Sonamura border area, stating their intention to seek employment in Delhi. The police personnel said that a case has been filed and the incident is being investigated.
