The State Youth Icon Student-Scientist Abhinaba Banik of class 10 of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya is all set to represent the state of Tripura in the National Youth Festival 2025 organized by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India under the patronage of the Prime Minister.
The Directorate of Youth Affairs & Sports of Tripura government has nominated Abhinaba Banik to represent the state as State Youth Icon Student-Scientist at the National Youth Festival.
The Festival has been invited in connection to the occasion of the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, and is going to be represented by the state nominated as the Youth Icons including Abhinaba Banik being Student-Scientist.
This two-day National Youth Festival under the patronage of the Prime Minister will be held on 11th-12th January 2025 at the Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, celebrating Meet with the Prime Minister along with different exhibitions, Cultural Activities and more multi-dimensional ways.
Arrangements have been made to send multiple teams to the event on behalf of the state, out of which a total of 10 youths have been selected as the state's youth icons and their proposals have been sent to the Union Ministry of New Delhi. Among these ten, besides those who have excelled in various co-curricular activities like NSS, sports, entrepreneurship and painting in the state, Abhinaba Banik, student-scientist studying in class 10 from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Vivek Nagar, has been selected as the only youth for his success as a student scientist for his performance at the Indian Space Research Organization's (ISRO) Yuvika 2024 program.
