Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday inaugurated the foundation day celebration of Agartala Government Dental College here at Agartala and said that the dental college is a significant milestone in medical education.
“It was not in anyone's imagination that a dental college would be established in the state. With the sincere efforts of the Prime Minister, this long-standing dream of the people of the state has been fulfilled,” Dr Saha said, adding that the Agartala Government Dental College should be developed in such a way that the students passing out from here can feel proud.
He said, “Importance should also be given on developing good relationship between faculty and students of the college. Parents should also be aware that children are attending classes regularly.”
On the occasion, Chief Minister Professor Dr Manik Saha said that various initiatives have been taken to develop the infrastructure of Agartala Government Dental College. He said, “Laser treatment and 3-D printing labs have already been started in the college. In addition, a plan has been taken to increase various infrastructural facilities for students to study, research and provide medical services to patients.”
