Ahead of the Lok Sabha election, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party will start a drive to gather public suggestions for its vision document – poll manifesto from march 8 next.
Addressing a press conference here in the party headquarter at Agartala, the party’s state vice president Tapas Bhattacharjee said, “The campaign vision document suggestion collection is aimed to seek public views on ‘Viksit Bharat Modi Ki Guarantee’ ahead of the Lok Sabha election.”
“The party’s vision document suggestion collection campaign will begin from March 8 next on the day of completion of second tenure of BJP led coalition government in Tripura,” he said, adding that the first phase will be the Campaign Launch on March 8 where Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha along with State President of BJP Rajib Bhattacharjee will inaugurate the campaign at Agartala Town Hall.
He said, “The primary objective of this campaign is to engage with citizens across the nation and gather over 1 crore aspirations to shape BJP's election manifesto for the upcoming general elections. The campaign will unfold in two phases in Tripura.”
The Second phase will be Public Outreach Activities for aspiration Collection will commence by March 10. Following the state-level launch, the campaign will be rolled out across 10 organisational districts via press conferences, featuring Ministers, Members of Legislative Assembly, Member of District Council, Zonal level leaders, District Presidents, State Officials, and other dignitaries, he added.
Bhattacharjee said that a total of 75 Sujhav Petis (suggestion box) will be placed in every assembly constituency where people can submit their suggestions. These boxes will also be present at other party events and gatherings, he told reporters.
