In anticipation of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, Force State gears up with intensified security measures to ensure a smooth and peaceful democratic process. Scheduled to be held in two phases, the elections are slated for April 19 and April 26, with the first phase coinciding with the by-elections for seven Ramnagar assembly constituencies.
A significant deployment of security personnel, including central paramilitary forces such as BSF and CRPF, has been orchestrated to maintain order and prevent any untoward incidents during the electoral process. Various companies have already commenced their operations in the state, bolstering the security apparatus.
The recent arrival of additional forces, facilitated by a special train on Wednesday night, signifies the comprehensive preparation undertaken by authorities. These personnel will collaborate with the state police, assuming responsibilities ranging from conducting searches at different locations to maintaining strict vigilance, particularly at polling stations during the voting days.
While some units are expected to be stationed in Force State until April 26, ensuring continuous security coverage, others may be redeployed to neighboring states post-election duties. However, a significant portion of the security contingent will remain stationed within the state until the announcement of election results, underscoring the Election Commission's commitment to fostering a safe and secure electoral environment.
