In a significant breakthrough in the ongoing anti-drug campaign, the RK Pur police station in Udaipur, under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge Babul Das, successfully conducted a targeted raid in the Banduar area on Tuesday night.
The joint operation, involving both local police and TSR (Tripura State Rifles), led to the apprehension of five individuals directly linked to the illicit drug trade.
During the operation, 272 vails of brown sugar were seized from the arrested suspects, marking a substantial blow to the narcotics network in the region. The swift and coordinated action also resulted in the confiscation of five mobile phones and a Wagoner car with the license plate number TR-07D-0533, believed to be associated with the illegal activities.
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the arrested individuals at the RK Pur police station, highlighting the gravity of their alleged involvement in drug-related offenses.
The arrested persons were presented before the court on Wednesday afternoon, following due legal procedures. This successful operation is a testament to the dedication and efficiency of the RK Pur police force in their commitment to eradicating the drug menace from the community.
