Tripura Congress President Asish Kumar Saha on Wednesday filed an FIR with West Agartala Police Station against Shiv Sena MLA and three BJP leaders including Union Minister of State Railway & Food Processing Industries Ravneet Singh Bittu after they insulting and defaming All India Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi.
The Congress leader has filed FIR against Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad, Ravneet Singh Bittu, Minister, Govt. of India, Tarvinder Singh, Ex- BJP MLA and Raghuraj Singh, Uttar Pradesh Minister.
Saha in his FIR alleged that Sanjay Gaikwad, MLA of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly made statement on September 16 to the public using media calling the public to cut the tongue of Rahul Gandhi, leader of the house of Lok Sabha, leader of the Indian National Congress Party and he will pay Rs. 11 Lakhs to whoever will be able to cut the tongue of Gandhi and the said statement has been published by most of the national and state level print and electronic medias.
“The said statement has been made to harm and defame Rahul Gandhi as well as Indian National Congress Party which amounts to criminal intimidation punishable. The said imputation has severely defamed Mr. Rahul Gandhi and the Indian National Congress”, the FIR reads.
He also said that Ravneet Singh Bittu, MoS also insulted Gandhi saying an "Extremist" and also stated that Gandhi is not an Indian and No.1 enemy of India.
He did it intending to insult Rahul Gandhi and to provoke the public which, on the grounds of race, caste and community is likely to create and promote feelings of enmity, hatred, ill will between different regional groups, communities etc. The contents of the imputation made by Sanjay Gaikwad and Ravneet Singh Bittu as mentioned above makes them liable to be punished with offenses punishable.
Saha said that Lt. Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India and grandmother of Rahul Gandhi and Lt. Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime of India and father of Rahul Gandhi, martyred for the interest of integrity and sovereignty of India, for which country will never forget their great sacrifice.
“The allegations made by both the persons as aforementioned are false and the same has been made with mala fide intention. Similar allegations were also made by Tarvinder Singh, Ex- BJP MLA, Delhi and Raghuraj Singh, Uttar Pradesh Minister. Myself and all congress workers are severely hurt by the acts of all the persons mentioned above. So, you are requested to treat this complaint as FIR against Sanjay Gaikwad, Ravneet Singh Bittu, Tarvinder Singh, and Raghuraj Singh, and it is also being prayer for proper investigation so that both of them are punished immediately for the said offenses”, he added.
