Agartala Battalion of Assam Rifles flagged off National Interactive Tour to Headquarter Directorate General Assam Rifles, Shillong for special children of Ferrando Rehabilitation Centre on 06 February 2023 under Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme 2022-2023.
The Interactive tour was flagged off by Brig Vikram Guleria, DIG, Agartala Sector Assam Rifles from Agartala garrison. The tour will be for six days with effect from 06 February to 11 February 2023 from Agartala to Headquarter Directorate General Assam Rifles, Shillong via Silchar - Mawryngkneng - Shillong - Guwahati - Silchar and back to Agartala.
The tour is conducted with an aim to provide an opportunity to the children to visit prominent places and interact with various intellectuals and renowned personalities. This kind of exposure will enhance their general awareness. The team comprising 35 children and 04 staff members of Rehabilitation Centre accompanied by 01 Officer, 01 Junior Commissioned Officer and 04 Other Rank incl one Riflewoman are the part of the tour. Interaction with Director General Assam Rifles and Hon'ble Governor of Meghalaya is also on itinerary.
