The former Chief Minister and currently the Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar deb on Monday came down heavily on the opposition CPI(M) and the Congress party and termed the parties as ‘Asura Shakti’ (Evil forces).
“It is the Durga-shaped women power, which will slay the Asura Shakti of Congress and CPI(M) in a democratic way in the upcoming assembly election in Tripura,” Deb said while addressing a party gathering in a ‘Vijay Sankalp Rally’ at Fatikray on Monday.
He continued slamming both the oppositions and said, “If the Congress was the main opposition party in the state, it would not have been possible to overthrow the Communists in the 2018 elections.”
“BJP's uncompromising efforts have not only changed the government in Tripura in 2018 elections, but the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought a change to the society,” Deb said, adding that as a result of the proper management of the present government, the average income has increased significantly as well as the economic outlook has been strengthened.
He said, “Communists know how to deprive people, and BJP works for the welfare of every level down to the last person of a society. Several plans have been formulated to improve the socio-economic standard of living here in Tripura.”
Meanwhile, MP Biplab Kumar Deb on Monday said that a new airport will be built soon covering 500 acres of land in Hiracherra of Unakoti district, which will be of the same quality as the Agartala MBB airport.
“Demand was placed in the Parliament regarding the opening of the airport in Kailashahar. The beauty and grandeur beauty of Unakoti is in no way less than the Taj Mahal. As a result of the proper management of the present government, the Unakoti have come up in the potential list of UNESCO. With the development of tourist centers, the number of tourists has increased in this state,” he said.
