Bangladesh crisis will impact India-Bangladesh ties: Birajit

AGARTALA:

Former Tripura Pradesh Congress President and MLA, Birajit Sinha, said today that the present situation in the neighboring country will eventually hamper the relationship between India and Bangladesh in every aspect.

Speaking on the matter, Sinha expressed concern about the current situation prevailing in Bangladesh.

“The situation in Bangladesh is very concerning. Bangladesh has had a very close and cordial relationship with India and was very close to the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Today, the situation created due to politics is very concerning, and we believe normalcy should be restored there; otherwise, people living in the bordering areas will have to suffer,” said Sinha.

He further stated that speaking against India would bring no benefit to the neighboring country.

“The situation there has to be restored, or else it will be a loss for both countries,” he added.
