The Bhavan’s Tripura Vidya Mandir celebrated the 77th Independence Day with patriotic fervor on Tuesday, involving the students, faculties and staff of the school.
The Chairman of the school Debashish Chakraborty had hoisted the tricolor in the school premise, while the principal of the school Swapna Shome had hoisted the school flag to begin the celebration.
A Cultural programme was organised, where the students of the school paid tribute to the martyrs and the freedom fighters of India's independence through their performances.
The school headmistress Pompi Majumder, who led the celebration for the students of morning shift underlined the significance of the day and encouraged the students to learn more about the history of India’s independence.
The celebration began from August 14 in the school, where the tiny tots of the pre-primary paid tribute to the martyred heroes of the nation through their performance.
