The Bhavan’s Tripura Vidyamandir on Saturday celebrated Hindi Diwas with a great zeal and enthusiasm here in the school.
Dr Kalicharan Jha, Associate Professor, Department of Hindi, Tripura University, Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Agartala Kendra Debashis Chakraborty, Principal Swapna Shome, Headmistress Pompi Majumdar and others were present in the programme.
The celebration started with the lighting of the lamp and floral tribute to the portrait of Munshi Premchand and Maithili Sharan Gupta. This was followed by Ganesh Vandana by the school choir.
Principal, Swapna Shome, delivered her welcome speech emphasizing the importance of Hindi as a National language and its role in uniting the diverse cultures of India. She encouraged the students to actively use and promote Hindi in their daily lives.
The program was followed by a beautiful Cultural Program and Prize giving Ceremony.
