The BJP candidate for West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the opposition CPI(M) and the Congress party and labelled their alliance – I.N.D.I.A. bloc as ‘unholy’ for the people of Tripura.
“The communist party in Tripura unleashed terror tactics during the last 25 years of their rule, where many congress supporters and workers were affected largely and fell victim. Now that Congress party has joined hands with the communist party to contest the Lok Sabha election,” he said.
Deb was addressing a public gathering and joining program of the party organized under the initiative of BJP 6 Agartala Mandal on Tuesday.
He said, “What is most surprising is that the Congress which was most affected because of the atrocities of the CPI-M are now working as allies. Thousands of Congress workers were mercilessly killed under the CPI(M) rule.”
Deb welcomed 450 voters from 111 families to the saffron camp by handing over party flags. Earlier in the day, a rally was also held in the 6 Agartala Constituency areas in support of Biplab Kumar Deb.
