Responding to the letter of invitation of the TIPRA Motha chairman Pradyot Bikram Manikya Deb Barma, the ruling BJP’s alliance partner IPFT showed the party’s desire to go for an alliance with the TIPRA Motha party ahead of the assembly election scheduled to be held on February 16 next.
The IPFT president Prem Kumar Reang in his letter to Pradyot on Wednesday stated, “I am writing this letter to express my sincere gratitude for proposal to "unite IPFT and TIPRA in any form for solving the question of survivability and existence of the Tiprasas with an endeavor of achieving our demand for Tipraland and Greater Tipraland State.”
“I welcomed the opportunity to meet with you personally to discuss a broad range of issues of common interest of both the party. Please, fix date, time and venue as per your convenient and availability,” the letter reads.
Meanwhile, responding to the letter, Pradyot said, “I have received the letter from IPFT. We will meet soon and I will put the interest of the people above individuals.”
“The people want Thansa and I will not think about my interest over our people,” he stated on his social media handle on Wednesday.
