Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, who was also the former state president of the party on Sunday took part in the BJP’s membership drive and claimed that the party’s membership drive has been gaining ground and is on its way to achieve that target of 12 lakh memberships.
Dr Saha said that over 6 lakh people across the state were enrolled as members of the party. The Chief Minister took part in the party’s membership drive at 8-Town Bardowali assembly constituency.
He expressed confidence in the party’s growing popularity in the state and said, “The people of Tripura have immense faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP. Our membership drive has been evoking a positive response, with over 6 lakh members joining online so far. We are optimistic that we will reach our target of 12 lakh soon.”
Dr. Saha was accompanied by Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation and MLA Dipak Majumdar, Corporator Ratna Dutta, Bardowali Mandal President Sanjay Saha, and other party officials during the event.
