Asserting their strong belief in victory, Rajib Bhattacharya, the State President of Tripura's ruling BJP, conveyed on Wednesday the party's optimism in clinching both seats up for grabs in the upcoming by-elections. The party's confidence is rooted in the public's trust in the current BJP-led administration.
In discussions with the press, Rajib revealed that the dual assembly seats by-election is slated for September 5th, with the party having unveiled its candidates recently.
"Our conviction remains unwavering that the BJP will clinch triumphant victories in both constituencies. We're dedicatedly engaged in the preparations. The results of the 2023 Assembly election clearly showcased the diminishing influence of the CPIM-Congress alliance. Despite their 25-year rule in the state, CPIM has lost its opposition stature. For their own gains, Congress joined hands with CPIM during the 2023 Assembly election. Just as people disregarded them then, we hold sanguine expectations for this by-election. The BJP is on the cusp of securing triumph in both constituencies," he asserted.
Rajib underscored the effectiveness of the dual-engine government and its unwavering commitment to public welfare, a factor that has garnered widespread public backing and confidence in the BJP.
Moreover, he disclosed that the leadership of IPFT would be present during the nomination filing ceremony tomorrow.
"Tomorrow in Sonamura, our nominations will be submitted in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik, and other distinguished party leaders," he shared.
