Tripura's political landscape buzzed with anticipation as the ruling BJP, alongside its coalition partners Tipra Motha and Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT), convened for a strategic gathering following the recent visits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Chaired by Minister Tinku Roy and BJP General Secretary Amit Rakshit, the closed-door session at Manikya Enclave brought together key figures including Tipra Motha's founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, East Parliamentary constituency contender Kriti Singh Debbarma, and IPFT Minister Shukla Charan Noatia.
The focal point of discussion was the meticulous organization of upcoming public rallies, a pivotal element in the political narrative of the region. Minister Roy, addressing the press after the meeting, disclosed the itinerary: Union Home Minister Amit Shah's forthcoming visit to Kumarghat in Unakoti District on April 15, slated to be attended by a formidable ensemble of BJP leaders, notably including East Tripura constituency hopeful Kriti Singh Debbarma.
Roy extended a cordial invitation to the residents of Dhalai district to warmly receive Shah on this significant occasion. The momentum continues with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit on April 17, setting the stage for what Roy optimistically labeled as an impending "historic victory" for the nominated candidates.
Anticipation runs high, with an estimated turnout of 35,000 to 40,000 anticipated at the Union Home Minister's rally in Kumarghat. Minister Roy expressed contentment with the campaign's reception thus far, underlining the palpable enthusiasm among the electorate.
