On the occasion of World Environment Day, the BJP Kisan Morcha launched a massive tree planting campaign across the state, showcasing their commitment to environmental conservation. The main event took place at Vidyasagar Chaumuni Shani Mandir in Pratapgarh Mandal, where several prominent leaders participated in the ceremonial planting of trees.
The key figures present at the Pratapgarh event included Pradesh Kisan Morcha President Pradip Baran Roy, Sadar District BJP President Asim Bhattacharya, BJP Pratapgarh Mandal President Chittaranjan Deb, and BJP Kisan Morcha Pratapgarh Mandal President Samir Roy, among others.
In Barajala Mandal, the celebration continued with tree planting activities at two locations: the premises of New City Girls School and West Bhubanban School. Dignitaries such as Pradip Baran Roy, Pratichi Bhoumik, Treasurer Amarchan Sarkar, District General Secretary BJP Khokan Chandra Deb, Barajala Mandal President Mukul Roy and Kisan Morcha Barajala Mandal President Raju Bhowmik were in attendance.
The southern part of the state also saw enthusiastic participation in the tree planting initiative. In Shantirbazar of South District, South Tripura Kisan Morcha President and Shantirbazar Municipality Vice Chairman Satyabrata Saha led the efforts, joined by district and mandal Kisan Morcha officials.
In the Gomati district, Kisan Morcha Pradesh Secretary Birsingh Jamatia and other functionaries were actively involved in the planting activities in Ampinagar.
The Kisan Morcha officials across various districts celebrated World Environment Day by planting saplings of diverse species, infusing the events with joy and enthusiasm.
