In a daring heist, a gang of thieves looted the residence of Rajkumar Debnath, the Mandal President of BJP in Charilam. The incident occurred on Saturday night at Debnath's residence in Madhya Brajapur Debnath Para, while he was away at Hapaniya Hospital attending to his sick mother.
The thieves, taking advantage of the empty house, made away with a substantial amount of gold ornaments and cash. Additionally, they tampered with the CCTV system by opening the hard disk, leaving behind little evidence for authorities to trace them.
The crime came to light on Sunday morning when vigilant neighbors discovered the burglary. Subsequently, Rajkumar Debnath was informed about the incident, prompting him to return home immediately. Upon reaching his residence, Debnath found signs of forced entry, with broken door locks and scattered belongings throughout the house.
The thieves managed to abscond with a bag containing gold ornaments, cash, valuable items, and crucial documents. Following the report, the Bishalgarh police station swiftly initiated an investigation into the matter. A case of theft has been registered, and law enforcement authorities are working diligently to apprehend the culprits.
Rajkumar Debnath expressed shock and dismay over the incident, emphasizing the need for enhanced security measures in the area.
