The ruling BJP in Tripura launched a state-wide protest against the opposition CPI(M) and the Congress party over ‘misleading’ the people of the state by hatching conspiracy against the government.
BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, senior cabinet minister Ratan Lal Nath, former speaker of the state legislative assembly Ratan Chakraborty, Mayor Dipak Majumder and other senior party leaders and workers joined the protest rally held here at Agartala on Saturday.
Speaking from the rally, the BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee said that the opposition Congress and the CPI(M) is doing a malign campaign against the developmental pace of the present double-engine government and misleading the people of the state based on false issues.
“The BJP government in this state, led by the Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha, has been working for the people of all sections by implementing various schemes. The state government has taken prompt steps to resolve every issue,” he said, alleging that the opposition, which has lost its ground, has been doing a malign campaign against the government.
He said, “There is no alternative to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his effort of developing the country. We are working for the benefit and development of the people of all sections.”
