Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday said that social media has become a powerful tool for digitally connecting with people, and the social media volunteers of the BJP are making significant contributions in highlighting the development initiatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Dr. Saha made these remarks while addressing the 'State Social Media Volunteer Meet' organized by BJP4 Tripura at Muktadhara Auditorium in Agartala.
He encouraged the volunteers to work with greater dedication in anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
"In the evolution of human civilization, we've moved from the Stone Age to the metal age, and now we're in the age of social media. From radio and newspapers to television, and now mobile phones for information collection, the progression is evident. However, it's crucial to use social media responsibly, as misinformation can lead to destruction. We are making strides in effectively using social media, and this becomes evident when central leadership takes note. We must excel in this field. In today's scenario, social media serves as a powerful tool for digital connectivity, and our volunteers are excelling in highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development initiatives," said Dr. Saha.
He emphasized that every social media volunteer should work with specific targets, and creating content is an art.
"Expressing personal opinions on social media is an art. Initially, individuals may face challenges in creating content, but practice will lead to perfection. If we use social media effectively, it will benefit everyone and contribute to sharing and creating awareness of government initiatives," he added.
During the program BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya, BJP general secretary Amit Rakshit and others were present.
