Boy drowns in river while taking bath at Bishalgarh

AGARTALA:

In a heartbreaking turn of events, a leisurely afternoon bath turned fatal for Shubo Chowdhury at Prem Sagar in the Kamthana border village of Bishalgarh subdivision.

The 18-year-old, accompanied by friends for a refreshing dip, tragically lost his life due to drowning.

Despite lacking swimming skills, Shubo ventured into the waters alongside his non-swimmer friends. In a sudden turn, he found himself unable to resurface. Panic ensued among his companions, who raised alarm, prompting a swift response from locals and authorities.

The Fire Brigade, upon receiving the distress call, swiftly initiated search and rescue operations.
