Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha inaugurates Kumbhakali temple

AGARTALA:

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha inaugurated the newly constructed Kumbhakali temple in Ranirbazar on Sunday.

Deputy Speaker of the state legislative assembly Ram Prasad Paul, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and MLA Ratan Chakraborty accompanied Chief Minister Dr Saha.

Adding to the spiritual ambiance of the temple’s opening ceremony, saints from various parts of the country graced the occasion.

CM Dr Saha accompanied by the dignitaries participated in the Vishwashanti Yogya. The inauguration also featured tree plantation programs and blood donation camps within the temple premises.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Dr. Saha emphasized the significance of tree planting for environmental protection and the noble act of blood donation to save lives. He expressed his belief that the Kumbhakali temple would play a pivotal role in fostering traditional culture and consciousness among the people of the region, creating a devotional environment.

The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the cultural and spiritual landscape of Ranirbazar, with the Kumbhakali temple set to become a beacon of traditional values and community welfare.

BJP Janjati Morcha slams CPIM’s tribal wing

The Janjati Morcha, the tribal wing of Tripura’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has strongly criticized the Gana Mukti Parishad (GMP), the tribal wing of the opposition CPI(M), for accusing the government of neglecting indigenous communities. The BJP leaders dismissed the allegations as baseless and labeled GMP’s planned Raj Bhawan Abhiyan on January 9 as a futile exercise.
