Over 400 people from various parts of Tripura commenced their journey from Agartala to Ram Mandir in Ayodhya after Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha flagged off the Astha Special train at Agartala Railway Station on Wednesday.

During a brief function organized at the railway station, the Chief Minister mentioned that since the seventies, the state had a predominantly atheist atmosphere.
"A new environment has been created after the formation of the government at the center in 2014 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the establishment of a new government in the state. The inauguration of the Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya on January 22 has fostered an atmosphere of trust and confidence across the country, giving rise to positive sentiments. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the country is expected to ascend from the 5th place to the 3rd place in terms of the economy," he said.
Dr. Saha urged those traveling to Ayodhya from the state to pray to Lord Ramlalla for the happiness and peace of the people of the state.
"Over 400 people from various parts of Tripura have started their journey from Agartala to Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on the Astha Special train. I wholeheartedly thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw for providing this special train for the people of Tripura," he added.
The Astha special train, which departed from Agartala yesterday evening, is scheduled to reach Ayodhya on the 16th.
