After the strict direction of Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Friday to take strict action against the abduction incident that took place in North Gate area of Agartala, Tripura Police has arrested the main accused involved in the incident from Khowai.
An abduction incident today took place in North Gate area of Agartala where a person identified as Shyamal Deb was kidnapped. Soon after the information was received by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) they have directed the Police to take immediate step in recovering the person and to arrest the main culprit engaged with the incident.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has also directed the Tripura Police personnel to take all necessary steps in arresting the main culprit and to take strict actions.
Following the order, the Police in Khowai district led by Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Khowai arrested the mastermind identified as Pintu Roy.

Major hike of salaries for Ministers, MLAs as bill passed in Tripura assembly
