In a bizarre incident, a puja pandal along with durga idols burnt into ashes after fire engulfed the Blood Sun Club here at Agartala Abhoynagar area on Wednesday. The incident triggered panic among the locals, club authorities and the puja organisers.
Alarmed by the incident on Wednesday morning the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation. The Chief Minister assured the club organiser of government assistance.
According to the report, the fire incident took place due to an electric short circuit. Three fire engines rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
