Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday inaugurated the 18th foundation day of Tripura Medical College here at Agartala Hapania and said that the government is working on priority basis to boost the health infrastructure in the state.
“Initiative has been taken to set up one more medical college under PPP model in Ambassa in Dhalai district, and as part of this MoU has already been signed,” Dr. Saha said, adding that plans have been taken to build a health hub in the state from all corners.
He said that 100 new sub-health centers will be established across the state to strengthen the health infrastructure. An initiative has also been taken to set up one de-addiction center in each district of the state, he said.
Deputy Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly Ramprasad Paul, Principal of Tripura Medical College Arindam Dutta, CEO of Tripura Medical College and Dr. BR Ambedkar Teaching Hospital Society Swapan Saha and others were present in the function.
