CM Dr Manik Saha inaugurates Ground Water Treatment Plant under AMRUT scheme

AGARTALA:

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday inaugurated the newly built Ground Water Treatment Plant of 8 MLD capacity under the AMRUT scheme here at Agartala Ushabazar area.

Built at the cost of Rs. 78 crore, the water treatment plant will connect at least 4000 families of Agartala Barjala area with clean drinking water supply.

Inaugurating the plant, the Chief Minister Sr Saha said that moving in line with the commitment of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government in Tripura is working to ensure basic facilities for all and connect every household with clean drinking water supply.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the ‘Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ has been developed to deliver benefits of various central government projects across the country to the people and in addition to this ‘Prati Ghare Sushasan 2.0’ has been launched by the Tripura government.

Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Deepak Majumdar, who was present in the inauguration ceremony, has said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the government has given special importance to ensure all round development in the state.
