CM Dr Manik Saha inaugurates observance of National Dentist Day

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Sunday attended the National Dentist Day and 22nd annual dental conference of Indian Dental Association, Tripura State Branch organized by National Oral Health Programme, NHM here at Agartala Pragna Bhavan and said that the government is working to develop health infrastructure in the state.

Addressing the gathering of dentists, the Chief Minister said that the present government succeeded in fulfilling the long pending dream of the people of this state by establishing the state’s first ever Government Dental College, which added another feather to the state’s higher education sector.

The chief minister expressed hope that this dental college will be established as a center of excellence in the future with the joint efforts of all. “The present government has planned to build a medical hub in the state. Various foreign organizations are showing interest in setting up educational and health institutions in the state,” he claimed.

The Chief Minister said that for the overall development of medical services in the state, the state government has taken initiatives to implement the Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana like the Ayushman Bharat and the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana of the central government.
