Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday unveiled the statue of Tripura’s king Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur installed at the zero-point milestone of the capital town of Agartala.
The statue of the king is installed at the Zero Milestone near Masjid Patti in Agartala Kaman Chowmuhani. With this the zero-point has been renamed as Maharaja Bir Bikram Chowmuhani.
CM Dr. Saha said that the government is working with the tribals and non-tribals to bring progress to the state with more development across the state. He said that the state government is continuously working to continue the development work of the state by following the principles and ideas of the Prime Minister. The government is also looking forward to build education and health hubs in the state. Besides, the government has also taken initiatives to empower women and improve their socio-economic status.
The Chief Minister accompanied by the Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Deepak Majumder and officials on Friday inaugurated other various projects of Agartala Smart City Limited & Agartala Municipal Corporation. The projects included flood drainage pump house at M.G. market and thematic bus shelters at U K. Academy, Nandanagar & IGM Chowmuhani.
