Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today lashed out at the CPIM for not taking any initiative for the development of industry in the state and for not creating an environment of work culture.
CM Dr. Saha was speaking at a conference of ‘Sustainable development of MSME of NER’ at Pragna Bhawan.
“There were many small industries in Tripura. But the 35 years rule of CPIM has never worked for the industry”, he said.
He said that the GDP is depending on the farmers and around 44% are dependent of agriculture-related products while around 26% of lands are ready for cultivation.
“And we are working for the development of agriculture in the state. Here we have more entrepreneurs, SHG groups have significantly increased and we are also helping them with banks through loans. The prospect of Tripura is good as we are following the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister always said that if you can’t develop northeast, the development of rest of the country is not possible,” CM said.
He alleged that CPIM government has never created an environment for development and there were no work culture and now BJP government is creating an environment of work culture.
“Tourism also helps in boosting GDP. Earlier we have one national highway and now work of more six national highways. Without connectivity development of industry not possible”, he said.
