In a significant development, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha expressed his satisfaction with the positive outcomes derived from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary concept of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" in Tripura.
Speaking at the executive meeting of the Bharatiya Janata SC Morcha Pradesh Committee held in Ushabazar, Chief Minister Dr. Saha highlighted the state government's commitment to achieving the goals of "Seva, Sushasan and "Garib Kalyan" as envisaged by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The meeting commenced with Chief Minister Dr. Saha inaugurating the proceedings by lighting a lamp, in accordance with the party's organizational protocols. The gathering focused on deliberating various crucial issues, with particular emphasis on strengthening the party's organization and establishing closer ties with the general public. Recognizing the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Chief Minister underscored the significance of building strong relationships with people across the state, aiming to secure substantial victories for the party's candidates.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister provided official updates on several government schemes and initiatives that were undertaken for the welfare of people.
He highlighted the targets set for the Babu Jagjivan Ram Hostel Yojana, which aims to construct three hostels in the financial year 2023-24. Additionally, he shared that the BR Ambedkar Merit Award had been conferred upon 30,836 students between the financial years 2018-19 and 2022-23, with 9,332 students receiving the award in the financial year 2022-23. Moreover, 1,026 students were granted boarding house stipends last year.
Chief Minister Dr. Saha also mentioned that the Chief Minister Swanirbhar Parivar Yojana had benefited 9,352 individuals over the past five years, while an allocation of Rs 56.33 crore had been made through various central projects between the financial years 2018-19 and 2022-23 to promote financial self-reliance among 6,459 beneficiaries from the scheduled caste.
The meeting was attended by prominent figures such as SC Morcha Pradesh President Tuton Das, former MLA Dr. Dilip Kumar Das, Party State Secretary Ratan Ghosh, and other esteemed party leaders. Together, they reaffirmed the commitment of the BJP-led government in Tripura to implement the Prime Minister's directives, focusing on good governance, public welfare, and inclusive development.
